Before I joined my first training at BTEC, I was unemployed, had no work experience, and was a full-time mother of two. It was a challenging time in my life. I was constantly filling out job applications, just hoping for a response, a chance, anything.
Then I heard about BTEC’s Home Caregiver training and decided to give it a try. That decision changed everything. During the training, I learned so much, CPR, people skills, and practical caregiving techniques that are truly essential for anyone entering the workforce or just looking to grow professionally.
Because I had the Caregiving Certificate, I was able to branch off and later obtain a Paraprofessional Certificate, which taught me how to work with individuals who are neurodiverse or have special education needs.
