About the BLAZE Awards
The BLAZE Awards was established by BELTRAIDE to celebrate and support entrepreneurial excellence across various sectors. Our mission is to highlight the innovative and transformative work being done by our MSMEs who are making a positive impact on the Belizean society and the economy.
The BELTRAIDE BLAZE Awards are thrilled to announce that applications are now open for 2024. These prestigious awards celebrate the innovation, resilience, and achievements of entrepreneurs across diverse sectors. This year, we are proud to recognize excellence in six distinct categories:
1. Great Blue Entrepreneur of the Year Award (The Blue Economy)
This award honors entrepreneurs who are leading the way in the Blue Economy, which encompasses sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of ocean ecosystems. If your work involves marine biotechnology, fisheries, coastal tourism, or renewable energy, this category is for you.
2. Sustainable Entrepreneur of the Year Award (The Green Economy)
This award celebrates entrepreneurs dedicated to sustainability and environmental stewardship within the Green Economy. If your business prioritizes renewable energy, green construction, waste management, or other initiatives that contribute to a sustainable future, we encourage you to apply.
3. Creative Entrepreneur of the Year Award (The Orange Economy)
This award recognizes the vibrant and innovative minds driving the Orange Economy, which includes cultural, creative, and artistic industries. Whether you're a filmmaker, designer, artist, musician, or digital content creator, this category celebrates your creative contributions to the economy.
4. Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award
This award is dedicated to young entrepreneurs (between the age of 14 -29) who are making significant strides in their respective fields. If you're a young innovator bringing fresh ideas and energy to the business world, we want to celebrate your achievements and potential.
5. Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award
This award honors outstanding female entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in their industries. We aim to highlight the contributions of women who are breaking barriers and setting new standards of excellence.
6. Disruptor of the Year Award
This award is for entrepreneurs who are revolutionizing their industries with groundbreaking ideas, products, or services. If your business model is challenging the status quo and creating significant change, this category is designed to recognize your bold and disruptive spirit.
