Step by Step Guide to Becoming a Client
The eligibility criteria to receive services from SBDCs are:
First step to becoming a client:
By filling out, signing and submitting the “D2 Counseling Request Form” you are on the first step to becoming a client of the Small Business Development Centre, Belize (SBDCBelize). This form is required of all clients prior to an initial meeting with a Business Advisor.

[1] Micro-Owner managing with less than five employees or less than $50, 000 in equipment investment, and less than $100,000 in annual sales (Seepersaud M., MSME Policy and Strategy Final Draft, March, 2012)
[2] Small-fewer than 20 employees, or less than 4004 sq. ft. in manufacturing space, less than $150, 000 in equipment investment , and $500,000 in annual sales (Seepersaud M., MSME Policy and Strategy Final Draft, March, 2012)
- Need to be a Micro[1] and Small[2] (MSEs) registered and formally established business within the national boundaries of Belize; businesses who are established and operating but are not formally registered ; Pre-venture entrepreneurs who have a business idea and who want to operate in Belize, or businesses that pay taxes or contribute in any other way to the growth of Belize’s economy ( purchasing of raw materials, creating employment, exporting)

By filling out, signing and submitting the “D2 Counseling Request Form” you are on the first step to becoming a client of the Small Business Development Centre, Belize (SBDCBelize). This form is required of all clients prior to an initial meeting with a Business Advisor.
Filling out the form:
- If you are unable to visit us at the Centre you can access the online form, you can print it, complete it at home, and send as via email as attachment.
- You can also fill out online and download then submit to [email protected] . Upon first meeting with SBDCBelize, official signature will be requested.
- Upon completion of the form you will be contacted by our Client Management and Training Officer who will set up an appointment to meet for an initial session.
