The eligibility criteria to receive services from SBDCs are:
  • Need to be a Micro[1] and Small[2] (MSEs) registered and formally established  business within the national boundaries of Belize; businesses who are established and operating but are not formally registered  ; Pre-venture entrepreneurs who have a business idea and who want to operate in Belize, or businesses that pay taxes or contribute in any other way to the growth of Belize’s economy ( purchasing of raw materials, creating employment, exporting)
In general, eligible entities to receive SBDCs’ services include pre-venture entrepreneurs or individuals with a business idea, formal and established businesses (which can either be start-ups if operating for less than one year; and established businesses if operating for more than one year).
