Inbound Visits Information
The BelizeINVEST team aims to tailor and facilitate visits with optimum productivity. Please honor the following steps should you wish to conduct an inbound visit to Belize.
How to book an investment visit/mission?
Booking an Investment mission is easy! Follow these three steps to begin.
- Submit a Business Proposal or Project Concept Note Form INV2;
- Complete Participants Form INV4;
- Coordinate with the designated BelizeINVEST Investment Associate to finalize a meeting Itinerary. Email [email protected] for more information
Obligations
When participating in inbound visits, both BelizeINVEST and the Project Developer are expected to meet the following obligations.

- To secure meetings highlighted in the mutually-agreed itinerary.
- To provide on-spot business establishment guidance with a BelizeINVEST Investment Associate, where applicable.
Project Developer:
- To cover any additional logistical cost apart from transport between meetings.
- To cover the cost of accommodation, bookings, and meals while in Belize.
Clients' Commitment to us
- You are responsible for matters pertaining to the development of your company.
- You are to secure contracts, financial and or intellectual capital, including applicable real estate for your development.
- You are to complete all relevant documents, proposals and/or business plans pertaining to your development.
- You are to complete the requisite compliance procedures pertaining to your development.

Belize currency exchange is easy! The Belize dollar is pegged at $2 BZD to $1 USD. Hotel accommodations are typically listed in $USD prices, and most restaurants, shops etc. are listed in $BZD prices.

There are several banks with branches throughout the country, namely Belize Bank Ltd, Scotiabank Ltd, Atlantic Bank Ltd, and Heritage Bank.
Banking Hours: Mon – Fri 8:00am – 3:00pm
Most Banks are closed on Saturdays and on Public and Bank Holidays.

Weather
With an average yearly temperature of 84° F (29°C), it’s always warm yet comfortable. Winter (November-March) temperature in Belize rarely drops below 60°F (16°C), while summer temperature (May-September) is around 86°F (30°C). Humidity is also fairly consistent at around 85%. Dress Comfortably!
