- The Scholarship Text competition allows Digi/ Smart PrePaid and PostPaid customers a chance to win a scholarship opportunity valued at $30,000 to attend Galen University or a scholarship from the University of Belize.
What is the duration of voting?
- The competition starts on February 9, 2023, at 12:01am and finishes on Friday March 10, 2023 at 2pm.
Who is eligible to vote for this competition?
- All Digi and Smart PrePaid and PostPaid customers can participate in this competition.
How to do I enter this competition?
- You enter by sending a text message with the number "1" to 344 on any Digi phone.
- Text "2" to 847 on any Smart phone.
How do I know that my entry was successful?
- All entrants will receive an acknowledgement text from the carrier indicating that their entry was successful.
How much will I be charged for each text in this promotion?
- Customers will be charged $1.00 (inclusive of GST) per text
How many times can I enter this competition?
- You can send as many text as you wish to increase your chance of winning.
When will the winner be selected?
- One lucky winner will be selected LIVE on BELTRAIDE’s Facebook page, March 17, 2023 using random selection.
Do I need to have the number registered in my name to qualify?
- Yes. Once selected as the winner you will be required to present an ID (Passport, Driver’s License or a Social Security Card) as proof of identity.

- There is no age limit for the scholarship.
Can I give the scholarship opportunity to someone?
- Yes. The winner can award the scholarship to a family member or friend meeting UB/Galen’s entry requirements.
What is the required GPA for acceptance into UB/Galen University?
- Recipient must have obtained a 2.5 GPA throughout high school or sixth form.
What can the Scholarship be used on?
- The scholarship can be used to pursue:
- Galen University
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Master’s Degree
- University of Belize
- Associates Degree
- Bachelor Degree

Is there an expiration to the Scholarship?
- The winner must claim the scholarship within 3months of selection however has up to four (4) years to utilize it.
Can the scholarship be redeemed for cash in the value for UB/ Galen?
- Unfortunately, there are no cash alternatives for this scholarship and the content of the prize may be subject to change at the discretion of the University.
